| ABOUT BREANNE |
| Growing up, I dreamt of being many different things (you know, the typical childhood dreams). A ballerina, a veterinarian, a rock star… above all, I knew I wanted to make people happy! When I was little, my Papa would take me for ice cream. Sitting in the warm sunshine, enjoying our treat, we would talk and watch the world go by. This is where I first developed an appreciation and eye for the beauty that surrounds the simple things in everyday life. At the age of 9, I moved to Lone Pine, California, a small town of 2,000 right below the beautiful and majestic Mount Whitney. Here I enjoyed countless outdoor activities, which included hiking, skiing, fishing, and just about anything else you could do outside. Being surrounded by the awesomeness of nature, my desire to share its beauty with others was intensified. After graduating high school, I enrolled at Cal State Northridge. Changing majors every semester, I had a difficult time finding something that I wanted to do and be for the rest of my life. However, I’ve always loved taking photographs, to remember what can be gone in an instant. Then it clicked… I could take my love for photography and pursue a career doing something that I love AND make people happy. In early 2004, with the encouragement of my husband to follow my heart, I enrolled at the world-renowned Brooks Institute of Photography, located in Santa Barbara. At Brooks, I learned a wide-range of skills and worked with a variety of equipment, from large format film cameras to the latest digital cameras and software. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Photography in May of 2007. Since then, I have put my heart and soul into creating my own photography business. During this time, I’ve worked alongside well-established photographers and have gained an invaluable amount of experience. I feel fortunate to have found a profession that truly makes me happy. My goal is to bring that same happiness to you. |
